Polestar has started the sale of its first fully electric vehicle in Germany. Polestar 2 can now be ordered directly from Polestar.com, the company's website. Polestar 2 has been breathlessly awaited since February 2019 and the pre-orders show the high level of customer interest on the German market.

Polestar 2's price is 57,900 euros (including 19% VAT) minus the environmental bonus.

The environmental bonus for Polestar 2 amounts to 5,000 euros. Polestar 2 is already included in the current list of eligible vehicles at BAFA (Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control). Deliveries are scheduled to start in summer as previously planned.

Polestar 2 has two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle, which delivers 408 horsepower and 660 Nm, the goal being an acceleration of 0-100 km / h in 4.7 seconds.

The five-door hatchback sedan is equipped with a 78 kWh battery and has a combined range of up to 470 kilometres WLTP. Polestar 2 has 440 litres of trunk space.

Polestar 2 will also be accessible at a competitive leasing rate of EUR 599 per month without a cash deposit, including 3 years of regular maintenance and repairs.
